Merry Christmas!

Taking a break between brunch dishes and helping put out the dinner to say Merry Christmas to all classmates who may find a moment to check on this blog today. We have no snow so things look a bit dreary. However, I've been asked to supervise the cooking of steaks on the grill and no snow makes that easier to do. Dreary also makes the Christmas lights look brighter, so you see, there is a silver lining in our clouded sky.

My grandson got a motorized helicopter that flies around shooting at this other thing on the floor that is shooting back, so he and his brothers are wageing war in the basement. My youngest granddaughter got a Red Rider BB Gun. ?????? But no BBs. Her pet rat got a huge plastic exercise ball and is rolling around the house tormenting the dog. Twin granddaughters are fighting over the computer to download music onto something they will stick in their ear and will not be heard from again, I'm sure.

I think I'll call my mother and my brother. You have a great week. Myrt

Bonnie Boltz Mann

Found these photos on Bonnie's FB page. Recent additions but with no explainations. My guess is a daughter and two granddaughters....maybe a dance recital or Christmas program? We could keep guessing all day.

Merry Christmas!

If anyone is still checking out this blog I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I added a photo today of Gene Mustin and if you want to read his letter again from before the class reunion it is in the August archives.

Send some family photos from the holidays!!!!

Gene Mustin and "the truck"

Gene's 14 year old grandson, nicknamed 'the truck' by his teammates, just turned 14, is 6'3' weighs 206 lbs and wears a size 13 shoe. He will be a freshman next year and is the son of his oldest daughter. They grow them bigger these days. Doesn't Gene look good?

Second childhoods

Dave K. had a great Harley time with his daughter rideing in the Greenville Women's Support Group bike ride. Isn't that a great way to share some time with a daughter? My brother rode his Harley to NC to celebrate his 70th with his two oldest sons on a bike ride through the mountains. Sure beats cake and ice cream. These guys are living their dreams.

A Wedding

Mary (Toni Kilkenny) Williams' only child, Caitlin, is the reason Toni didn't make our 50th reunion. Looks like a beautiful wedding. Certainly a beautiful bride. Congratulations and Best Wishes!

Poor Dave

Dave Koepnick was bemoaning the fact that he didn't get a picture of him and Julie together at the reunion as he was so busy taking pictures himself. But we got all of those great photos from him, so I borrowed this picture from his Facebook page of him and Julie in front of their house in NC.

Bonnie Boltz Mann

Now I am reduced to borrowing pictures from Facebook or anywhere else I can find them. This is Bonnie's birthday, I think, but not sure which one.

Shirley Kay Oberla Anderson

I just received these pictures from Shirley via Frank. The picture of her and her five children was taken after her husband's funeral in June of this year. We're sorry for your loss.

Done

I do believe I have posted all the pictures I received. Hopefully everyone appears at least once. I still don't see John Richter though and I remember talking to him briefly. Happy Fall to everyone and don't wait five years to let us hear from you.

On to dinner at Millie's Restaurant

Butch Boutelle talking to Lynn Gregg while Kent Bridges looks on and Mary Ann Seely must have just seen Lynn. At least she's surprised at something.

Really glad to see Paul Brahm's health permitted him to come with wife Carol Benkovikc. He had a rough winter. So good of Carol to keep us posted via email.

Butch Jones' wife and Diane Brown enjoying horsdoeuvre.s

Wayne Brown and Butch Jones across from their wives.

Karen Uhen Johnson and husband, who apparently didn't get a name tag. My bad.

Touring the halls of DDHS

Bob Speri

The pool is one of the few areas that looked the same. We had to walk around the pool to peek into the fitness room which is a WOW.

Dave K. took this picture. Who did you have for math?

Bill Behrens, Dick Alter, Larry Schut

I haven't a clue what they're looking at.

Sue and Dick's son, Adam, teaches history at the highschool and gave us a tour. Everything has expanded, of course, but we managed to find the location of some of the classrooms we frequented.

The Wilkins host the Koepnicks

George and Sheryl Wilkins invited Dave and Julie Koepnick to stay with them. Now that's the way to have a fun reunion. Dave also got in on his own family reunion on Sunday. As Julie said in an email....They had Irene and had Irene, so leaving NC weather and heat behind could have been another plus.

More at the Waterfront

Pam Woodford, Kathy Bruce

Let's not forget the spouses that attend. Joan's hubby Tim and Pam's hubby Dave. You'll see them warming bar stools in several pictures.

Jerry Stimpfl and his wife Joanne

Joe Neumeier, Rolfe Egenes and his wife Karen. Rolfe always smiles, so I bet he didn't know he'd be in this picture.
