Prayers and support for Sandi Thomas Niles

Myrtle, I am sending this to you. You may post it on the blog or whatever. I had been planning to attend the class reuion but life took a wrong turn 3 weeks ago. My husband has been treated for inoperable lung cancer for the past year. 3 weeks ago he had a seizure as the presenting sign that his cancer had spread to his brain. We have been through removal with complications and are now in the rehab ward preparing to finally get to go home. I do not foresee his being able to make the trip to WI and I will not make it without him. Prayers and good thoughts from family and friends have gotten us this far and hopefully we will have a few more months to spend together. Sandi

(the picture was taken last fall when both of them were being treated for cancer. Her husband is 6'4" tall and the house is their sons, if I remember correctly)

Archives

Don't forget to check the archives in the left column for past entries and photos.

Mary Kilkenny is on facebook

Toni claims to have poor typing skills (hmmmm, what was she doing during all those required typing classes) and says all this technology stuff is beyond her, yet she is now on FB. Probably her daughter put her there....that seems to be the way of our generation. I think I'm about to post her profile photo.

Don Eichman

Our condolences to Patricia Eichman at the passing of Don on Aprpil 20th, 2011. He died of heart failure and related complications. This information came to Frank after the reunion letters were sent.

Final Letter Sent

You should have received your letter to register for our 50th class reunion. Thanks to the efforts of a great committee we will have Millie's Restaurant all to ourselves on Sat. Sept.10th . so come at 5:30 for socializing (hor d'oeuvres provided) and dinner at 7:00. A class picture will be taken at 6:30 (before we dribble food down our fronts) so be on time. I, for one, intend to enjoy the Fish Fry at the Waterfront and the DDHS vs. Union Grove football game. I participated in the Memorial Day Celebrations in Delavan last week end and until I ran into Chuck Anderson I didn't recognize a single soul there. I know that won't be the case in September. In fact I think we should walk up and down the streets of town just for old times sake.

Google

I have just been through a horrific time with a Google account change to get back into this blog. Thanks again to Tif Hayes for helping me out. Is all this technology stuff meant to keep our brain cells alive or drive us crazy?
