Margaret Christine MacKay died in the hospital on September 9, 2017 in Santa Clara, CA due to complications following heart surgery. She was 73.
Mrs. MacKay was born on November 11, 1943 in Delavan, WI to her parents, Walter and Clara Fleming. She married Bryan MacKay in 1978. The MacKays planted roots in San Jose, CA where Bryan and Margaret both worked at the San Jose Mercury News for over 30 years. She retired in 1999 and dedicated her remaining time to educating and caring for her new granddaughter.
Mrs. MacKay is survived by her husband, Bryan MacKay, daughter and son, Megan and Michael MacKay, and granddaughter Destinee Fields; all of San Jose, CA. Her sister, Mary Nielsen, and brothers Walter, Gary, and Doug Fleming.

55th Reunion

55th REUNION DDHS CLASS OF 1961 SEPTEMBER 9, 10 & 11, 2016 WE ARE EXCITED!!!!! Plans have been finalized for our 55th class reunion weekend and now we need your response and registration so we can proceed. On Friday, September 9th we plan to meet at 5:00 for drinks and comradery before dinner at The Village Supper Club on South Shore Drive, Delavan for one of Wisconsin’s famous Friday Fish Frys. The fish fry includes fried fish (baked for gluten free), French fries, potato pancakes, coleslaw, apple sauce, bread, non-alcoholic beverage, tax and gratuity (served family style). Classmates requiring special dietary needs can order off the menu at their own cost. Saturday, September 10th we will gather at Gordy’s Cobalt Lounge and Sail Loft; 320 Lake Street, Fontana, WI at 5:30 pm for socializing (drinks and appetizers) with an Italian buffet to follow beginning about 6:30 pm. The menu is as follows: Appetizers Salad Cheese and Crackers Classic Caesar Italian Meatballs Classic Bruschetta Entrées Dessert Chicken Marsala Chocolate Cake Penne Pasta with Marinara Cheesecake Steamed Broccoli Garlic Bread All beverages including coffee, tea, milk, soda, beer, wine and mixed drinks are on a cash basis at Gordy’s. John A. “JR” Richter, age 73, of Clinton, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016, in his home. He was born Jan. 19, 1943, to the late John S. and Theresa (Moyer) Richter in Edgerton, WI. John graduated from Delavan/Darien High School in 1961. He enlisted into the U.S. Navy in 1962, and served his Country until his honorable discharge in 1968. J

John is survived by his wife, Diane Richter; his three children: Elizabeth (John) Schauer, Christine (Joseph) Cary and Michael (Heather) Lytle; eleven grandchildren: Roberto Galvan, Ashley Galvan, Tyler Galvan, Bradley Schauer, Michael Schauer, Keifer Cary, Garett Cary, Beau Cary, Noah Lytle, Alex Scerba and Sydney Scerba; his great grandson, Bentley Schauer; one brother, Charles (Carin) Richter; one sister, Mary Fielder; one nephew, Kevin Fielder; and five nieces: Shelli (Keith) Harris, Karla (Gary) Saffer, Pam (Mike) Charles, Lori (Matt) Barthel and Jamie Hoffer. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to thank the staff at Agrace Hospice

for the care they gave John.

Friends will be received on Friday at the BRIAN G. MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit, from 5 until 7 p.m. John’s visitation will continue at 10 a.m. on Saturday at CHRIST EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 300 High Street, Clinton, followed by Funeral Services at 11 a.m. with Rev. Gary Schockman officiating.

Inurnment and Full Military Burial Rites are scheduled for 2 pm. at Roselawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lake Geneva. A memorial is being established in John’s name. Please share a memory or a condolence with the Richter family on our website.

Karen E. Palmer, nee Olsen, age 72 of LaGrange. Beloved wife of Bruce Palmer, loving mother of Michael (Jessica) Palmer and Jennifer (James Michel) Palmer, cherished grandmother of Louise and Clara Michel, dear sister of Ronald (Judy) Olsen, fond aunt of Jeffrey Olsen, Timothy Olsen, Scott Olsen, Raiford Palmer and Jessica Remus. Private Cremation Services have been held.

Please join the Palmer Family for an Open House on Saturday, April 2nd between 1-5pm to celebrate the life of Karen Palmer. The event will be held at Karen’s home of nearly 30 years: 645 S. Ashland Ave. in LaGrange Illinois. If you are able to bring an appetizer or drink (alcoholic or non) to share that would be greatly appreciated. Susan Gallagher...loved her laugh

Susan Lee Baun, age 71, of West Bend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 20, 2015.   Suzzi was born on November 29, 1943 to the late John and Dorothy (nee Deschner) Gallagher in Chicago, IL.  She was raised in Delavan, WI.  After high school, she attended college in Madison to become a certified beautician.   Suzzi was united in marriage to the late Frederick Baun on October 29, 1966, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Delavan.  They resided in Delavan until moving to West Bend in 1977.  They raised two children, daughter Genell Baun, and son, Stephen Baun. Besides working as a beautician, she also worked with the West Bend District school lunch program for many years.   Suzzi enjoyed collecting antiques and visiting with friends.  Suzzi will be remembered for her unique handwriting on her good will wishes she sent out to her many friends and family.  Her kind heart will be missed by all.   Suzzi is survived by her two children, Genell Baun of Brown Deer, and Stephen (Dawn Geidel-Baun) Baun of West Bend; eight grandchildren, Nicholas Johnson, Brittany, Zachary, Savannah, Camden, J.J., Devin, and Alyssa Baun; a sister, Carol (Ron) Willing of Milton; and special nieces, Wendy and Deanna.   A funeral service in remembrance of Suzzi will be held on Monday, October 26, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in West Bend.  Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. with a service following at 1:30 p.m. Pastor David Kellerman will officiate, and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park.
